Who’s on the Ephesus PTA?

We consider anyone in our community to be a member of the Ephesus PTA. We are: 

We fundraise to support families, teachers, staff, and our school building. We provide in-school programming for students, information for families, and events for our community. We design programming, events, and our budget with everyone in mind and want everyone to feel like they can contribute and lead.


How to get involved!

Count me in! I want to be a voting member of the PTA. 

We need voting members on our PTA who can attend most of our Community Meetings and vote on PTA business like budget approval and leadership positions. Community meetings are open to all! They will be held in the evening on the second Thursday of every other month. There will be dinner, childcare, and space to connect with families and school leadership. To become a voting member you can simply pay the annual membership dues ($10). If you'd like to become a voting member and the $10 fee is a barrier, let Melissa know at president@ephesuspta.org. We will make sure voting members get a calendar invite to each Community Meeting and understand the voting agenda ahead of time.  If you pay the voting membership fee you make a good-faith commitment to attend at least four of the five planned Community Meetings over the 2023-2024 academic year. 


Voting is not for me but I still want to be involved.

Our Community Meetings are open to everyone, and we want everyone to feel welcomed and heard. Please join us the second Thursday of every other month for our Community Meeting to build connections within our school community and learn about upcoming PTA opportunities. There will be dinner and childcare provided. It’s a great space to meet school leadership,  learn about school programs and parent contributions, and be a part of our community, without any ongoing commitment. You are also welcome to become a PTA volunteer in any capacity without being a voting member.


I support the PTA with a financial contribution and that’s my bit.

We run a big, energetic, brief fundraising campaign called Fund it Fast in the fall to get our resources stocked for the rest of the year. If donating to Fund it Fast is the way you count yourself a supporter of the PTA, we welcome your contribution! Our work is only made possible by the donations, large, medium, and small, of all our families, relatives, corporate partners, neighbors and well-wishers. This is a completely legitimate way to be part of our PTA. 


I’m ready to give some of my time and expertise to the PTA.

You can join our volunteer roster at any time during the year and you’ll be added to our outreach listserve for event support, committee participation, staff appreciation donations, and upcoming projects. Volunteers are VITAL to what we do as a PTA. They are integral for our events and programming. Be a part of the joy in our community by volunteering on one of our committees for the upcoming school year! We welcome volunteers that are able to give any amount of their time and/or talents.

Check out the vacancies listed on our leadership page, and feel free to contact president@ephesuspta.org if you want to learn more. Want to be on our board? A good way to check out the work of the PTA Board is to sit in on an upcoming meeting. You can email president@ephesuspta.org to get an invite to the next one.
